Petra is one of the rare places in Madison to get good middle eastern food. The chicken shawarma specifically isn?t cooked ideally, like at Naf Naf, but everything else they do there is top notch and better than anywhere else.

Refreshing lemony tabbouleh, savory yogurt drink is just the right amount of salty and savory.

The substitution vegetable soup was watery, inedible. The Shawarma was tasty but had too much rice. I?ve also never had ground meat in shawarma.

Chicken Shawarma was good . Pita bread was dry. Baba Ghanoush was awful. It was just pureed eggplant, not mixed with tahini,olive oil, lemon juice or spices. Turkish delight was great.
