Takara 88

My food wasn?t delivered

Amazing. I love Takara 88, it always hits. Dare I say the best sushi in the Madison/middleton area.

Takara 88 is usually pretty good but things were off this time. Did they switch up the wasabi? It wasn't nearly as hot as usual. Also the asparagus was nearly raw (funny thing to complain about in sushi, I know).

Wasn?t acknowledged when I went to pick up the order. Server went to someone who came in behind me. Not sure what was up.

Their lunch bento deals are honestly the best! So much food for such a great price!

I'm sorry but the udon was not very good. It was so bland.

the salads were missing the ginger dressing and there was only 1 soy sauce

When we arrived at the restaurant they did not have our order. The restaurant had to make our order from scratch. Other customers who used different ordering platforms had their order on time.

Food was decent but order was completely wrong. We ordered 8 white tuna but got 8 compelte

Great food, minimal Covid safety precautions for spacing and long wait and almost no communication with carry out customers even with large number of carry out orders piling up by the door. Statement was made to close the door for the comfort of the seated customers but carry out customers spend significant amount of money also and didn?t have space to wait nor any sign of getting food without calling for help. Odd!

Food was great but wait was ridiculous. Took an hour and twenty five minutes, 25 minutes longer than time quoted on eatstreet. Website said order was ready for pickup 20 minutes before it was actually done.

The food was admittedly quite good but the way it was presented was absolutely not ok. We ordered 4 rolls and spent a fair bit of money. The rolls were all put into one container and by the time it arrived to us all the rolls were in a big pile. There was no way to know which roll was which. Will I order again? I don?t know. They should clean that up.

Excellent food, extremely slow turnaround (it took at least 90 minutes before the order was ready for delivery)

We received our foot two hours after we ordered.

The food was really good. Good selection.

The food was delicious, but I waited nearly two hours for my order. I waited in the cold for an hour and 15 minutes AFTER they told me my order was ready. If I hadn?t prepaid I would have walked away. Their order management is terrible. They?ve unfortunately lost a customer as a result.

The food was absolutely fantastic, the only issue is how long it takes to get food from this restaurant.

I?m a huge Takara 88 fan and have eaten here a lot. The sushi itself was fine, but I was really disappointed with the house salad and clear soup. Small items, I know - but some of my favorites. The salad dressing was very chunky and strongly tasted like vinegar, and the clear soup tasted like it was old. I?ll still be back, but I?m not sure if I?ll order takeout again.

The order was not transmitted correctly apparently and I had to wait a while outside in the cold/rain. They quickly made it but it was missing part of the order that discovered when I returned home.

Delivery was great, sushi was great, the salad was brown and inedible.

Just perfect. Sushi was fresh and artistic. Soups were hot & tasty.

Love that they put in air holes to keep the tempura from becoming soggy!

Best Japanese food in the Madison area. This is the closest thing to actually being in Japan (been to Japan twice)((Takura 88 is still not as good as the "real thing" but definatly worth the price))

Food was not flavorful and tasted as though it was cooked in a microwave. It seemed as though the same care and attention that is normally put forth at this restaurant was not held to the same standard for this visit. Very disappointed, but wanted to continue to support local businesses during this time so in the end, I was happy to have my money go toward a local establishment. Hoping when we get to go back to the restaurant things will be better.

The steak was hard and chewy which was disappointing considering how much it cost.
