VP of Finance

EatStreet is looking for a VP of Finance that will drive the entire Finance and Accounting function and help set the strategic direction of the company. As the VP of Finance at EatStreet, you will be responsible for leading and growing the finance team, financial reporting, financial planning, data analysis, as well as be a strategic partner for the CEO and executive leadership team.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and tactical financial leadership for the company
  • Be a key business partner to the executive leadership team and their respective organizations
  • Assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and the organization's long term strategy
  • Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the CEO and make actionable recommendations
  • Develop and utilize forward looking, predictive models and activity based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization's operations and business plans
  • Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements that comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), as well as all required tax filings
  • Develop and monitor company KPIs for all functions with the ability to highlight trends, analyze causes of variance, and drive actions and recommendations
  • Oversee and manage the accounting department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and functions
  • Provide financial analysis to help make financially informed decisions
  • Develop and communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and performance benchmarks for internal and external shareholders
  • Participate in the development of new capital funding and future company exit strategies
  • Develop and implement cash management strategies
  • Lead the company's KPI Review Process

Experience and Requirements

  • BS/BA degree required, MBA or equivalent preferred
  • Designation as a CPA, CFA or CMA required
  • 10+ years experience; 5+ years financial management experience in technology focused companies
  • Track record of driving business insights, actions, and accountability across organizations
  • Great strategic thinker, strong management skills, keen business sense
  • Ability to express oneself clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, both in small groups, meetings, and in public
  • Experience effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, the Board or other outside partners
  • Ability to succeed in a collaborative, startup environment
  • Previous experience overseeing financial operations and managing state taxes for a national corporation; international tax experience a plus
